I went to the Doctor with pain going down my leg and was diagnosed with a slipped disc after my primary care Doctor lifted my legs and pushed and poked in a few places. I left the appointment feeling quite bummed and went to the pharmacy. I filled the prescriptions for three different medications, muscle relaxers 2 times a day, Motrin around the clock, and pain patches. I said this can’t be the way I have to live I don’t even like to take Tylenol. The next day I was talking with a coworker and complaining as we were moving around and work. She told me that I should try Dr. Candice before I gave in that I would always have a back problem and need to live on these medications at least for a little while.

Sometimes I would feel sore the day after visits but after a few weeks I noticed that I could move more and that the pain in my leg was going down. I started to see that I would be more flexible in sessions and without pain. A few months went by and I noticed that the incredibly painful weeks and moments where I could not even put down my leg where gone. The best part was it was not because of medicine at all. I let her use the rock tape and kept an open mind. Even that was so helpful reminding my body to use muscles that I needed to strengthen. When Dr. Candice told me that it was not disc at all that she believed it was all a muscle I thought (no way!) I figured give it a shot and she was spot on. It has been ten months and I am good!
